James Marcus Haney is an LA native but with a home on the road. His passion for travel, people and music informs his commercial work, producing images that are as playful and spontaneous as they are intimate, raw and revealing.

His 2014 feature length documentary No Cameras Allowed (released through MTV) recounts the irresistable story of how Marcus first became a photographer/director, all starting with a jump over the fence at Coachella festival. The success of the film eventually led to a guest appearance on Conan O'Brien's TV show in the US as well as numerous collbaborations with global artists such as Coldplay and Mumford & Sons.

A second film Austin To Boston followed in 2015, as did advertising campaigns for the likes of Starbucks, Google, Spotify, Bacardi, Subway and Havana Club.

As well as his commercial projects, Marcus has travelled across the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iran and Jordan for the charity War Child and is currently completing a forthcoming film and photography project following the Central American migrant caravan on its journey to the US border.
